I'm TRG Sensei, an independent recording artist from Kingston, Jamaica, I source inspiration from across the musical spectrum, but Hip-Hop is the foundation for my music. The production tends to be a unique blend of various sounds and styles to create music that is both thought-provoking and entertaining.
I view my music as art, whenever I launch pro tools and import a beat all I see is a blank canvas with limitless potential for creation and expression. Music is a universal force and a powerful unifier, capable of bringing nations together, healing the mind and body, even connecting us to the spiritual realm.
Now I'm from Jamaica, where Hip-Hop isn't quite popular, but nothing can stop me from embodying my passion for music. I'm a lover of knowledge and spend a lot of my spare time reading Pan-African Literature, Philosophy, Magick and anything related to esoteric knowledge. I am a firm believer in self-sufficiency and I take pride in my independence, intelligence and having such a diverse set of skills. I also have a keen interest in finance, cars, and technology.
My music is a representation of me performing alchemy by transmuting things that happen to me and putting it into my music with my creative process. I don't usually specify who I make music for, because I see it as an energetic transmission that can reach anyone on this sphere, but if I had to specify I would say I make music for people that get the message and are already unplugged, but also for anyone who can relate, is curious, open minded, and mentally free.
In a world and a capitalistic system that imposes countless limitations on us physically and mentally, I seek to inspire others to embrace their true selves and pursue their passions with zeal.
Among my favorite artists are Jay Electronica, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Roc Marciano, Freddie Gibbs, Protoje, Bob Marley, Vince Staples, Greentea Peng, J. Cole, Mach-Hommy, Westside Gunn, Boldy James, and Earl Sweatshirt, among many others.
I tend to create music that challenges listeners to think deeply and critically about themselves and the world around them. Overall I will that it inspires people to read more, do more research, and explore life beyond the surface.
The philosopher's stone symbol represents my belief in the transformative power of music. My music is a representation of my alchemical process, where I take my life experiences and emotions and transmute them into music that can connect with people.
I believe in being true to myself and my experiences. My music is a reflection of my real-life experiences and emotions, I've had my share of ups and downs, and I draw from these experiences to create music that is honest, raw, and authentic. What you hear in my music is a genuine expression of who I am and what I've been through.
